Most people think of the Ford Pinto as what it was - not as what it could be. But remember the old adage: "Lightweight car / big power" equals high performance. The Pinto has the potential. What if you lengthened the wheelbase 5" up front, set the turbocharged motor back 4" and fabricated custom wide-body fenders to accommodate plenty of rubber? Oh, and also add an aluminum fuel cell and roll cage for safety, you'd be ready for autocross and fun track days.
